“Connection is why we’re here. We are hardwired to connect with others, it’s what gives purpose and meaning to our lives, and without it there is suffering.”

Coach. Consultant. Speaker.

Hi! I’m Melissa Brosch and I am a relational coach and consultant. After spending 20 years leading social groups and mentorship groups in a faith based setting, I have seen first hand how people come alive when building relationships. I have also seen the emotional suffering that isolation causes. My passion for people to experience connection and belonging was only fueled by the Autism diagnosis that my daughter received at age 2. Being told that she would struggle socially made me want to create spaces where people whose social worlds develop differently, could experience belonging. As a professor at Saddleback College teaching adults with intellectual disabilities, I am constantly inspired to help my students experience inclusion and belonging in the world. I would love the opportunity to help you or someone you love gain the skills to create, build, and deepen meaningful relationships!

I have spent the last 20 years running social groups, mentoring groups, spiritual development groups, doing individual mentoring and coaching in a faith-based setting. I also work at Saddleback College as a professor teaching adults with intellectual disabilities. I received a bachelors degree in Communications from Azusa Pacific University and a Masters of Divinity from Azusa Pacific Seminary. As the Vice President of the Disability Ministry Conference, I consult with many churches to help them create a culture of belonging in their communities. I have also received specific training in sexuality education for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as training in group facilitation from the Townsend Leadership Program. I am also a certified PEERS provider through UCLA as well as certified as an online educator. I have received my most cherished education from my daughter Ava, whose autism inspires me every single day.
